On Authenticity: Part I
If, like many people, you’ve found yourself pausing when you’ve heard the advice to be your authentic self at work – you’re not alone.
It can feel impossible to make sense of what we’re supposed to do sometimes, especially as a leader, with respect to authenticity. There are so many seeming contradictions, traps and risks.
These are often made worse if you’re expected to follow feminine norms in the workplace, are a BIPOC, or are in the LGBTQ+ community.
Today’s blog post will address the WHAT — what authenticity can do for you at work — and the WHY — why you should care.
